When I turned 15, I attended my first official patchwork class, ran by a local lady from her home. I made a log cabin cushion and from that moment I was hooked.

Unfortunately, like many hobbies, life got in the way when I attended college, got married and then had my beautiful children. I did always try to keep the fire alive with card crafts and cross-stitching and eventually I was able to come back round to my first love later on in life.

When my dad passed away, crafting with my mum helped us get through the hard times. We boldly decided to attend classes together, hosted by the renowned Barbara Chainey and Chris Franses. This reignited my love for patchwork… so much so that when the local fabric shop announced it was closing, I just had to buy it!

It was then that I started teaching and was encouraged by Chris Franses to send one of my patterns into the British Patchwork & Quilting Magazine, which I am sure is how I was seen by Sewing Quarter and later approached to become a demonstrator. This is where I met Natasha and, like they say, the rest is history.
